One user commented, “Have trouble waking up? purchase violent alarm,” which has over 70,000 likes.
Boxers are one of the most recognizable breeds. “Playful and clever, Boxers are patient with children and protective of their loved ones, making them a popular choice for families. They have an above average IQ, are extremely athletic, and while they love exercise and physical activity, they’re no strangers to the sofa,” the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says.
The 14th most popular dog breed in the U.S in 2021, boxers are often described as “goofy” or “clownish” and require a lot of energy and mental stimulation, as seen by the impatient pup in this video.
The ASPCA advises that: “A good outlet for the breed’s energy is to play fetch, go on long walks, and try some agility training. Giving a Boxer the exercise and energy outlets they need can go a long way toward having a well-behaved pooch. Conversely, a Boxer with high energy but no outlet can go from clownish to destructive. This, of course, can be avoided with plenty of stimulation and activity—which are also great ways to form a bond with these playful pups.”
The American Kennel Club agrees that these adorable dogs can have a split personality. The AKC breed standard stresses the words “noble” and “dignified” and argues that “yes the sight of a well-made Boxer standing at high alert, his ample muscles rippling under a tight coat, his brow furrowed with concern, an intelligent gleam in his dark brown eyes, is the very picture of nobility and dignity. These traits are seen in many of the AKC’s big working breeds. What sets Boxers apart, and what has put them among America’s most popular breeds for so many decades, is the delightful juxtaposition of majesty and goofiness that dwells within the mighty Boxer heart.”
TikTok users were delighted by the frustrated pooch.
User Andrea V said, “There is nothing like a boxer on this planet! The most goofy, smart, crazy, loving dogs ever.”
User Dee wrote, “that is what I have been looking for. Best alarm clock. With possible concussion. Lol.”
User Jonathan Soto commented, “Bruh where do I get an alarm clock like that? I’ll never be late for anything again.”
