The Blacklist Season 7 will continue with episodes 11 and 12 on Friday, March 20, but before then here is everything you need to know about what went down in December on the series.

The end of Episode 10 saw Katarina call Liz moments after Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) had told her that she had died after first being in a traffic accident and then being gunned down. In this call, Katarina tells her that she needs to disappear for a while, but will get in contact with her soon so they can work together to find some joint answers.

We do not yet know when Katarina is due to return, but it is almost certain to be at some point in the back half of The Blacklist Season 7.

This, however, was not the only revelation Katarina shared with Liz. As well as learning that the woman she thought was her neighbor Maggie Tolliver was really her mother Katarina, she learned that Ilya Koslov (Robert Diaz) was not Red as she had been led to believe and that her grandfather Dom (Briah Dennehy) had to kill Katarina with a car bomb.

Asked by TVLine how much Liz trusts the woman she now knows is her mother, Blacklist executive producer John Eisendrath said: “She’s not 100 percent confident that she can trust Katarina.

“At this point, she thinks Katarina may offer her a greater chance of finding out the truth that it seems Red won’t share with her. But she certainly is not fully trusting of Katarina at this point, so as the season goes on, there will be choices that she’ll have to make — whether to stay aligned with her mother, whether to be more sympathetic toward Red’s point of view.”

Red meanwhile, sincerely believes that the woman who was almost top of his blacklist is dead, taking a huge weight off of his shoulders as we go into part two of Season 7. However, he may also have his suspicions about how much Liz knows.

Katarina told Liz that Red was not Ilya by taking the latter hostage, only for a rescue mission to be staged that put Ilya in a fake ambulance with Red. Though Ilya swears repeatedly that he did not tell her his true identity, this could change the relationship between Red and Liz just at a time when she is considering trusting her mother more than her colleague.

The Blacklist Season 7 returns on Friday, March 20 on NBC.
