How to watch Tenet online
In the U.K., Tenet is available to rent and buy online on digital entertainment stores right now, but U.S. viewers have just a little longer before they can stream the Robert Pattinson movie. In America, the digital release date for Tenet is December 15,
On December 15, Tenet will also be available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
In the lead-up to the digital release of Tenet, WB released the six-minute prologue of the movie onto their YouTube page, allowing viewers to get a taste of the thrilling opera house heist that opens the movie.
Viewers hoping that Tenet would be among the Warner Bros. movies coming to HBO Max in the coming weeks and months, however, will be disappointed. The streamer has announced that it will release WB movies on the same day they come to cinemas, beginning with Wonder Woman 1984 on December 25.
However, this is not the case with Tenet. Speaking to The Associated Press, Nolan has spoken of being pleased that his film, “isn’t caught up in the mess that they’ve [Warner Bros.] made.”
The movie seems to be following the usual release date windows for major Hollywood movies, in which a film is exclusive to cinemas for around three months before coming to DVD and PVoD. This means that the film is expected to come to streaming services in about four months, or spring 2021.
Though there is currently acrimony between Nolan and HBO Max, as Tenet is a Warner Bros. movie the streaming service is still likely to be the one that eventually gets Tenet next year. However, the streamer has not revealed a release date yet.
Tenet is released onto PVoD services on December 15.
