Former League of Legends and amazing streamer St. Vicious has been dominating the ranked ladder, ending up in Challenger multiple times. He’s been sharing his best team compositions and unit placements, allowing the average terrible player to potentially learn some of his skills.
Demons and Sorcerers are still incredibly powerful, making Yuumi and Darkin valid item choices when you can’t find two Spatulas. Guardian Angel was buffed in patch 9.16 and still remains one of the best items to build on your tanky carries. Luden’s Echo on Lucian will carry you till at least round 20, and Rapid Firecannon is a must have for Draven and Jinx compositions. An interesting addition to the S-tier items is Runaan’s Hurricane, which was given a 50 percent damage increase this patch.
For actual champion builds, you can’t go wrong with Nobles or Demons. If you can stack six Nobles, it’s hard to lose the game. The extra Magic Resist given this patch makes them very hard to kill with abilities, which used to be their main weakness. Demons now gain mana when they burn enemies but maintain the same 40 percent amount of burn regardless of how many you have. I had a particularly fun game with six demons and six Sorcerors using Yuumi and Darkin. Varus one-shotting everyone with constant arrows just feels nice.
Adding in two Hextech champions, like Jinx or Jayce, can help you out a lot, but you don’t need more than that. Currently, Hextech bombs work one space around where the bomb is thrown, meaning you’ll usually get the items you want neutralized. Adding in the extra two is kind of a waste and will only make your team die quickly. Vi has a nice ultimate ability, but without more Brawlers she dies very quickly.
