The puzzle has a similar premise to Wordle and was launched shortly after the Josh Wardle-devised online brainteaser took the world by storm in 2021.
Both games ask you to guess words and use a system of color-coded squares to show whether you’re correct: green for the right letter in the right place, yellow for the right letter in the wrong position and gray/black for just plain wrong.
Wordle, which is now owned by The New York Times, gives players six attempts to find a single five-letter word but Quordle players face a tougher challenge: they have to figure out four five-letter words in nine tries.
Quordle has four grids on the screen simultaneously and each word players write down is shown in all four grids.

Quordle General Tips and Advice
Whether you’re new to Quordle or a veteran, we’ve compiled a few general recommendations to help you.
Your first few guesses should be words with plenty of vowels: AUDIO is a great example.
Jack Terry, an avid Quordle player and account manager at the PR agency Red Setter, said the game “perfectly scratches that itch of testing my knowledge and logic, as well as my vocabulary.”
He told Newsweek: “Strategy became an important part of being the daily winner amongst my group, and I soon identified ARISE as my preferred starter word, with MOUNT as my back-up. This way I cross off every vowel, as well as some of the most common consonants.
“This strategy has been refined so that for Wordle, I only use one and then make educated guesses based on what goes orange or green.”
