Police in America

Americans’ trust in police has been on the decline since 2018 with one-third reporting they do not feel confident that police officers act in the public’s best interest, according to Pew Research.

A 2021 survey conducted by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute found a growing sense of “pessimism” toward some of America’s largest institutions including law enforcement and the military.

The survey found that law enforcement had a double-digit decrease in trust and confidence, falling from 50 percent in 2018 to 39 percent this year.

The Video

In the TikTok, the woman said she is a former 911 dispatcher and that she experienced “vile” behavior “firsthand” while working for emergency services in Oklahoma.

“Police in my first 911 job would have what they call ‘Pretty Girl Wednesdays,’” the woman said. “‘Pretty Girl Wednesdays’ are essentially Wednesdays where they do traffic stops back to back nonstop throughout the whole shift.”

The woman claimed that if officers found a driver they deemed “physically attractive,” they will issue a ticket “no ifs, ands or buts.”

“Vile, yes. But not even the tip of the iceberg,” she said.

In another video, the woman said an officer told her about his Wednesday plans and that shortly after, other officers joined in because it was “super fun to do.”

Viewer Reactions

Hundreds of users commented on the video, many sharing more information and others saying they’ve witnessed this type of alleged behavior.

“If people really knew what went on in police depts, they would be shocked!” one user said.

“I’m in the same boat! The officers I worked with even did BINGO,” another alleged. “You wouldn’t want to see what was on there.”

“I had this happen. I found out the truth & told ppl & most thought I made it up,” one user alleged. “They even bet & take pics to grade who had the hottest.”

“So basically they pulled you over for something you did illegally, and decided to not let them have pretty privileges. Am I missing something?” another user asked.
