Before this update, Sword and Shield Max Raid battles put the spotlight on the Gigantamax forms of Charizard, Garbodor, Copperajah and Duraludon. Now, there are a variety of Pokémon that have a higher rate of appearing in Max Raids.

POKEMON SWORD AND SHIELD RAID UPDATE TIME
The latest Pokémon Sword and Shield Max Raid update begins now and runs until May 11 at 7:59 p.m. EDT.
LIST OF SPOTLIGHT POKEMON AND HOW TO GO ONLINE
Pokémon Sword and Shield players will first want to update their Wild Area News. To do so, access the menu (X) and select Mystery Gift. After that, trainers should select “Get the Wild Area News” and then connect to the internet if they haven’t done so already.
Once done, the Wild Area will update with the new pool of spotlight Pokémon. The pool of Pokémon is the same for both Sword and Shield except for the form that Rotom appear in.
This special Electric- and Ghost-type Pokémon can change form depending on the appliance that it has inhabited. Pokémon Sword players will get Rotom Heat, the Electric- and Fire-type while Pokémon Shield players can catch Rotom Wash, the Electric- and Water-type.
