Nintendo announced that a demo for the Gen 8 Pokémon games will be set up at this year’s PAX West in Seattle. The Sword and Shield festivities begin with players being able to visit the “Galar Visitors Center.”
Here, fans will be able to take their Galar region passport photo, speak with “tour guides” to learn more about the local activities and characters. They’ll also be able to receive special items just for visiting.
“Discovering a new region is part of the fun of diving into a new Pokémon adventure,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing in a press release. “With this tourism-themed activity, we want fans of all ages to explore the region and learn about the people, places and things that make Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield so special.”
The Galar Visitors Center at PAX West can be found in booth 1939 in the Washington State Convention Center. This area will be open to PAX attendees during show hours from August 30 to September 2.
