Pokémon Masters is almost here, and fans of the Pokémon franchise should definitely check out the latest mobile game.
Pokémon Masters is a game where players collect Sync Pairs - trainers and one Pokémon - to create teams of three that fight other teams to become the champion of a new region. It’s confirmed that there will be 65 Sync Pairs at launch to collect, with your trainer starting off with Pikachu as your partner.
There’s a main story that players can play through as well as special events that will take place in the game. The first story event was announced for September 2 and features Blue and his partner Pokémon, Pidgeot.
So when can you actually download and play Pokémon Masters on iOS and Android? Here’s everything we know about the release time of the new mobile game.
WHAT TIME WILL POKEMON MASTERS RELEASE FOR DOWNLOAD?
The Pokémon Company and DeNA confirmed that Thursday, August 29 will be the release date for Pokémon Masters.
Predicting the exact release time could be a bit tricky, but the latest trailer on the official Pokémon Masters YouTube channel confirmed a special launch celebration that will run from August 29 to October 17. A slide was shown giving the details and the timing, which may indicate when exactly Pokémon Masters will appear in the Apple and Google Play stores.
According to this slide, the launch celebration begins August 29 at 2 a.m. EDT, which may be when the game will go live - it also means those on the west coast might be able to play on August 28.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation as we get closer to the release date, but it stands to reason that Pokémon Masters will release in the overnight hours.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD POKEMON MASTERS FOR IOS AND ANDROID
Pre-registration for Pokémon Masters is already live for both iOS and Android, so if you have an account, you can sign up to be notified when the app goes live.
If you just want to download when the game is live, you can visit the official Pokémon Masters page of the Apple store and on the Google Play store. Hit the “download” button and once it’s finished launch it by pressing “open” or by tapping on the app icon on the homepage of your phone.
