The Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon is one of the stronger ‘Mon in the mobile game, so trainers will have a brand new chance to get this Sinnoh Legendary. However, Giratina won’t just return to Raid battles its Shiny form will be catchable for the first time in Pokémon Go.
Like other Shiny Pokémon in Raids, trainers will need to defeat the Pokémon first before you discover if its Shiny or not. Once you get to the capture stage, lucky trainers have a chance to find Giratina in its Shiny form. Shiny Giratina’s coloring changes from purple to neon blue. It’s one of the more dynamic changes in Pokémon.
If you’re looking to catch a Shiny Giratina of your own, here’s everything you need to know including the best counters and the rest of the Raid Boss changes.
POKEMON GO GIRATINA COUNTERS
Giratina being a Ghost and Dragon-type Pokémon gives a handful of weaknesses. It’s weak to Ghost, Dark, Fairy, Ice and Dragon-type attacks.
It resists a ton of attacks including: Normal, Fighting, Fire, Water, Grass, Poison, and Bug-type moves so avoid bringing Pokémon that know them. Thankfully, there are plenty of Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon that players can use in a battle against Giratina.
