For one week, Cobalion will show up in Level 5 Raids in Pokémon Go. Trainers will have seven days to battle and catch the Legendary Pokémon from the Unova region. Trainers who missed out on the Legendary Pokémon in the past will have a second chance and even encounter its Shiny form.
Not only will Cobalion show up in Level 5 Raids, it will be a possible encounter in Go Battle League rewards after winning at least four battles in a five-match set.
Cobalion’s Shiny form is not the only reason to try and battle these Legendary Pokémon. The Steel and Fighting-type Pokémon will also know the exclusive move Sacred Sword. This powerful Fighting-type attack will benefit trainers as it’s strong against a lot of the most popular Pokémon in the Go Battle League like Steelix and Registeel.
If you want to learn everything you need to know about Cobalion including how long it’ll appear in Raids and which Pokémon are the best to take it down, continue reading.

POKÉMON GO COBALION COUNTERS
Cobalion is a Steel and Fighting-type Pokémon making it weak to just Ground, Fire and Fighting-type attacks. Its typing makes it resistant to Normal, Rock, Bug, Ice, Grass, Poison, Dragon, Dark and Steel-type attacks so avoid bringing Pokémon with those moves.
Pokémon Go has plenty of Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon to choose from that will help trainers defeat Cobalion. Try one of these Pokémon with the following moves in battle against Cobalion.
