Entei, one-third of the Legendary Beasts of Johto, has returned to Pokémon Go in Level 5 Raids for a limited time. From now until Sunday, January 31, at 10 a.m. local time, Pokémon Go trainers will have plenty of opportunities to catch Entei.

On Wednesday, January 27, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, every Raid will be occupied by Entei, giving trainers the best opportunities to battle and catch this Legendary Pokémon.

Learn more about Entei and how to take it down with ease below.

ENTEI RAID COUNTERS

Entei is a pure Fire-type Pokémon, meaning it’s weak to Water, Ground and Rock-type attacks.

In Pokémon Go, there are plenty of Pokémon that can help trainers take down the Legendary with ease, including a couple of Megas. Mega Blastoise is a great option to go into battle against Entei. Its Water-type resists Entei’s Fire-type attacks, and it boosts the Water-type attacks of every trainer fighting against Entei at the same time.

With that in mind, here are some of the best Pokémon to bring into battle against Entei:

Mega Blastoise with Water Gun and Hydro Cannon. Rampardos with Smack Down and Rock Slide. Swampert with Water Gun and Hydro Cannon. Kyogre with Waterfall and Surf. Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge. Gyarados with Waterfall and Hydro Pump. Feraligatr with Waterfall and Hydro Cannon. Rhyperior with Smack Down and Stone Edge.

POKEMON GO RAID UPDATE

The Raids in Pokémon Go are filled with Johto Region Pokémon for the duration of the event.

Pokémon Go trainers can catch one of the Starters or some highly-coveted Pokémon like Larvitar and Mareep. Togetic, Umbreon and Skarmory are great Pokémon to take into the Go Battle League, so they are also good options to catch during the event.

Shiny Miltank made its Pokémon Go debut when the Johto Celebration began, and the Normal-type will appear in Level 3 Raids for the event’s duration. If you want to try your luck and catch a Shiny Miltank, go to battle with one in a Raid this week.
