Pogba hails ‘brother’ Griezmann
The Atletico Madrid star’s youngster sibling has shown his support for Jose Mourinho’s side in the past, most recently in a series of now-deleted tweets while watching United beat Feyenoord in the Europa League in November.
Antoine has been long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, even revealing recently that he would like to play with France team-mate Paul Pogba on a more regular basis, with speculation mounting over a possible summer switch from Spain.
And Theo has been playing his part again, posting an image of Memphis Depay - United’s now former No.7 - speaking after making his debut for Lyon with the caption: “Sorry Memphis I think Old Trafford is better!”
United are reportedly ready to pay Griezmann’s €100 million release clause to bring the Liga star to Old Trafford but Atletico president Enrique Cerezo last week insisted a move is not on the cards.
“There are many offers,” Cerezo said. “I don’t know what will come of Manchester United’s interest. What I can say though is that Griezmann will be an Atlético player for a long time.”
