When does Mrs. Fletcher air?

The series will debut on HBO on Sunday, October 27, at 10:30 p.m. ET. After the premiere, all episodes of the half-hour comedy will air weekly on the network.

After airing, all episodes will be available to watch online on the network’s two streaming platforms, HBO Go and HBO Now.

Who is in the cast of Mrs. Fletcher?

Kathryn Hahn, star of Transparent, Bad Moms and I Love Dick, leads the cast as the eponymous Mrs. Fletcher, or Eve. Speaking to NPR, the actress described her character as “a woman in her complete privacy of finding pleasure for just herself.”

Eve’s sexual revolution comes as she starts to feel empty nest syndrome after her son leaves home. That son is Brendan, played by Jackson White of SEAL Team and The Middle, a character with some problematic views about women and sex. Speaking to MEAWW, White said of Brendan: “He’s conditioned to do so by a lot of things, by his upbringing, by his father and he also physically emulates what he sees in porn.”

Another main character is creative writing teacher Margo Fairchild, whose course Eve takes after Brendan leaves. She is portrayed by Jen Richards, who made a memorable appearance this year as a young Anna Madrigal in Netflix’s reboot of Tales of the City.

Other key cast members include Eve’s close friend Jane (Happy Endings’ Casey Wilson), and Julian (Bloodline’s Owen Teague), a former classmate of Brendan’s who starts flirting with Eve when she joins the writing class. The show also features one of the last filmed appearances of actor Cameron Boyce, who died earlier this year aged 20.

What will happen in Mrs. Fletcher?

The official HBO synopsis reads: “Starring Kathryn Hahn in the title role, Mrs. Fletcher is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Tom Perrotta. The show is a dual coming-of-age story, exploring the impact of internet porn and social media on the lives of Eve Fletcher, an empty-nest mother, and her college freshman son.”

Perrotta is executive producer on the series, adapted from his 2017 novel. Speaking to Variety, the Election author revealed he had to make some changes to the series to reflect the post-#MeToo world. He said that the “the things that were under the surface [in the novel] had exploded and were right on the surface,” but added that, “the core of the story of a mom trying to find happiness and using porn to expand her sense of what is possible didn’t seem affected by the changes that happened in the past five years.”

Is there a trailer for Mrs. Fletcher?

In September, HBO unveiled the promo for the series. In the trailer, we see Eve’s sexual horizons expanded after searching the term “MILF” on her laptop. This leads to her having increasingly extensive sexual fantasies.

Meanwhile, her son is grappling with issues of consent and interacting with women. We hear him say, “In high school everyone liked me, now I’m the bad guy and I don’t know how that happens.”

Mrs. Fletcher airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET on HBO.
