Uma Thurman called you “the ultimate actor-slash-rock star.” You’re not a musician, so I have to ask–was that a compliment? (Laughs) I dunno. You’d have to ask Uma. I hope so. You know how the British press operate. I have some great friends that people like writing about–I’ve known Ewan McGregor for a good eight or nine years. And there are some musicians I know that live in my area. London’s a funny place. You go out once, and the thing’s photographed. If I believed everything that was written about me at the moment, I’d be out every night partying.

You must have teased Ewan about “The Phantom Menace.” I can’t tease him. My sons worship him. We had a “Star Wars” birthday party, and my baby son was Obi-Wan. I wouldn’t ever begin to tease a Jedi knight.
