Dana’s first Shayne video, posted on February 17, the day before the second half of the season dropped, reimagines Shayne meeting Natalie in the pods. In the video, titled “Shayne from Love Is Blind being a [red flag emoji]”, Dana, acting as Shayne, is particularly invested in whether or not Natalie—also played by Dana—is wearing a “sexy crop-top.” The only hitch is, he thinks she’s Shaina.

“Thinking about you wearing a crop-top right now just gets me…” Dana-as-Shayne says, before sputtering. “Shaina? It’s me Shayne? Shaina? It’s Shayne. Hello? Hello?”

“It’s Natalie,” Dana-as-Natalie says.

“F***!” the fake Shayne exclaims. “How was I supposed to know? I’m trying to find my wife right now!”

In another video, “Shayne” answers questions about his marital status.

“What’s up guys, it’s Shayne. Lot of you guys are still asking me if I’m single. And I have a response to that: None ya! None ya business!” the character says, followed by five full seconds of manic laughing.

But, in Dana’s most recent video, “Shayne Hair Tutorial,” the comedian gets her comeuppance.

The video opens with Dana explaining how she gets her hair to look like Shayne’s. She pulls her normally long hair into a high ponytail, flips it to the front and holds it in place with bobby pins and hairspray to get Shayne’s distinct hairstyle.

She then gets into character, putting on the Shayne voice, saying, “Hey, it’s me Shayne.”

But then, she looks to the doorway—and who is there but Shayne himself, glaring at Dana, unamused. The two share some awkward looks, but Shayne finally smiles and says “Looking good, bro.”

Shayne was a fan favorite, even though his relationship with his ex-fiance Natalie Lee didn’t work out. Though the relationship started out rocky, with Natalie making a number of jokes at his expense, including calling him a “piece of s***” and telling him to put his shirt back on immediately after requesting he take it off.

In the reunion special, Natalie said that her “mean sense of humor” is how she flirts, but that after returning from the Mexico getaway portion of the show, she and Shayne talked it out.

Though the two made amends, Natalie dumped Shayne at the altar. She mentioned on the Netflix podcast We Have the Receipts that she and Shayne did give their relationship another try after shooting ended, but it still didn’t work out.
