The 27-year-old insurance agency owner is currently starring on Season 3 of Love Is Blind on Netflix, alongside other cast members like Nancy Rodriguez and Bartise Bowden, and Cole Barnett and Zanab Jeffrey.

Lemieux got down on one knee and asked Alfia to marry him at the end of the very first episode of the season after they formed a romantic connection in the pods.

Since the engagement, and actually meeting face to face, the pair have been seen navigating life as an engaged couple and, in the latest batch of Love Is Blind episodes, were even introduced to each other’s families.

Alfia and Lemieux seem to have, so far, enjoyed a relatively drama-free time on the show, especially compared to the tumultuous journeys of other couples.

The couple were aware of how smooth-sailing their time on the show was, and Alfia said it was something they spoke about at length.

She told Newsweek: “We went back and forth on, ‘Should it be this easy?’ There were a lot of things that could have been potential issues but we just didn’t experience that! Everyone was so welcoming, everyone was so amazing.

Alfia further explained that she thought meeting the families was going to be their “biggest hurdle,” saying: “Because we were just so, like, perfect the entire time and then it was like, ‘Ok, now it’s family,’ and the fact that I’m Jewish [I was worried] if that was going to be a thing but his family loved it, they were like, ‘Teach me more!’”

“His family welcomed me with open arms and my dad did to him as well. I think my dad just loved how much he respected me,” she added.

Of course, fans will need to tune in to the rest of the season to find out if things work out in the end for Lemieux and Alfia, and it won’t be until November 9 that viewers find out if they end up tying the knot.

Alfia’s fiancé Lemieux also recently spoke to Newsweek about his time on the show and, when asked if things with him and Alfia were as smooth-sailing as it looked on TV, he confirmed that “it really was.”

“It’s so funny, it was always that kind of thought like, ‘When’s the first thing going to happen?’ but we were on cloud nine,” he added.

The first 10 episodes of Love Is Blind Season 3 are available to stream now on Netflix and the finale and reunion episodes are due to be released on November 9.
